We are so excited about our upcoming #LetYourWriteShine Women’s Retreat and what the Lord will have in store for each of us.  We know you may have some questions. We’ve created this page to help answer the most frequently asked.

Q: Does the retreat really include all my meals?

A: Yes, and they will range from simple to amazing, but we will all be building community and helping in the kitchen from time to time.

Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?

A: Please let us know on the form you will fill out paying registration, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: What airport will I need to arrive into, and will I need a rental car?

A: The Pensacola International Airport is 1 hour, 20 minutes drive (80 miles) from the Newman-Daily property in Destin, Florida. The Tallahassee airport is a 2 hour 30 min. drive (166 miles).

Q: What time does the event begin?

A: Registration will begin at 3:00 pm. Our activities for the evening will begin around 5:00pm

You’ll receive your full schedule when you arrive. Trust us, and trust in God’s plan. We are.

Q: What time will we wrap up? 

A: We hope to wrap up our “official” programming by noon so you can catch afternoon flights if desired, however, you are welcome to linger throughout the day.

Q: Can I extend my stay?

A: Yes. Inquire on an individual basis, but if you’d like to stay an extra day or two in this beautiful space, we’ve made arrangements for a reduced rate of $77 per person per night, as available for one more night. However, you’re on your own for meals starting at lunch on Sunday.

Q: Can I bring my family?

A: This is designed more as a girls’ weekend 🙂 The sleeping quarters are church camp style. If you want to stay off campus with your family nearby and just come in for the day, let us know and we’ll be sure to accommodate you.

Q: If I bring my family, where can I stay?

A: Your family can find amazing nearby accommodations by visiting www.destinvacation.com

Q: What if I book and something comes up and I’m not able to attend?

A: We’ll miss you, but you can certainly transfer your spot, or apply all funds to a future event or services from Shine Digital Marketing.

Q: We are flying in from out of town and would like to spend a few more days in the area.

A: Awesome! We love Florida! You are located in Destin, and just 30 minutes from some of the most incredible beaches in the world! Check out Jen’s friend Marisa at Tampa Mama or the team at Trekaroo with the Top Ten Things to do in Tampa Bay for some awesome recommendations!

Q: What do I need to bring?

  1. Bring any projects you are working on and would like to get feedback on.
  2. Bring your pillow, towel and toiletries.
  3. You might want a light sweater because the conference center can get chilly when the AC is on.

Q: Is there a pool?

A: No, there is no pool, but there are lovely gardens and grounds for walking, porch swings for sitting, and a cozy outdoor fireplace where some great evening fun and fellowship will take place.

Q: I’d love to speak at the retreat.

A: Awesome! We’ll all be speaking and sharing, and the “speakers” will be more like small group leaders. If you’d like to be considered and feeling called, please fill out this form. It won’t guarantee spot, but we are prayerfully considering all applications, and will keep them on file for future events as well.

Q: My company/blog would love to sponsor the retreat.
